1. POLICY ADVOCACY

Advocate important forestry, and environment and natural resources policies that will promote wood sufficiency, biodiversity conservation, provision of ecosystems services, climate change adaptation and mitigation, community welfare and sustainable development

  • Participated in consultation fora on forest management organized by DENR and Foundation for Economic Freedom

2. FORESTERS' WELFARE

Strengthen forestry professionals by working for more opportunities and coming up for welfare program for its member

Instill pride in the forestry profession by showcasing forestry expertise in community extension work, piloting SFFI forest and leading carbon neutral professionals

5. INFORMATION, EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION

Increase visibility in all forms of media, including the development of publications to inform and educated citizens on the importance of forests and forestry profession

6. ORGANIZATIONAL STRENGTHENING

Strengthen SFFI organization through financial stability, promote more active engagement and participation of members, update SFFI code of ethics, and strengthen regional organizations

  • Currently developing procedures on financial management
  • Reached out with Regional Councils and Provincial Chapters
  • Revised and affirmed in the General Assembly the Constitution and Bylaws
  • Established branch office in Los Baños
  • Acquired business permit in UP Los Baños
  • Transferred BIR registration from Koronadal to Quezon City
  • Submitted regularly necessary documents to SEC and PRC
  • Renewed accreditation with PRC as AIPO
  • Member of the CPD Council
  • Member of CSPS-CATS (Career Progression and Specialization Program and Credit Accumulation and Transfer System)
